Linda Malaussena

I grew up with a mother who was an artist. Artwork was a part of life, a passion for drawing and painting. Each of us (4 siblings) developed our own styles. With my great love for animals, I made them my main subject, and art became a permanent part of my life. I got my college degree in Advertising Art and Design at SUNY at Farmingdale and apprenticed illustration under one of my professors. Shortly after college, I married and my art was set on the back burner while I raised our children, thinking someday I would again make time for art. Fast forward to my 60’s; I had long time remarried, kids grown, close to retirement, I decided it was finally time. I began taking lessons online from Bonny Snowdon Academy which refueled my love for drawing animals. Colored pencils is my zen. With my dogs company beside my drawing table, I am at peace as I draw.
