Rick Sawyer

Rick Sawyer runs a cabinet shop in Blue Hill.  He is a water color painter. Rick loves downeast Maine and enjoys spending time with his wife Penny exploring the coast.  They both have many favorite spots and continue to find more.  He likes to paint the Maine landscape and strives to capture in his paintings the essence of each place.  He enjoys finding these hidden gems, choosing what might make a nice painting and before photographing it, tries to get the feeling of the place in order to paint it. Rick believes that all art attempts to alter people’s perspective and Rick thinks that he would like to direct one’s perspective toward the beauty of what is here on the Maine Coast.
